We provide support, education and advocacy to adults with severe mental illness, their family, friends and the community. We have regular group meetings throughout the month.

Consumer support meetings on Tuesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m

Support Group for Family and Friends as scheduled: call office

General community education meetings as scheduled (call office

We conduct NAMI consumer group meetings for Vets with mental illness at the VA Clinic in Anchorage on third Monday of the month from 10:30 a.m. to noon and other meetings with vets as requested (call office)

Meetings are held at 144 W. 15th Avenue.

Our activities also support people with dual diagnosis?mental illness and substance abuse.

We conduct NAMI consumer group meetings for Vets with mental illness twice a month at the VA Building, on the first and third Mondays from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Our peer advocates are available for one-on-one confidential peer support, education and advocacy by visit, telephone or email.

We have a 400+ volume library of books on mental illness, substance abuse and recovery.

We have drop-in hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m., when consumers and family members can stop in, have coffee, watch a video, use the library, work on volunteer projects or just socialize.

We are available to give or participate in presentations to providers and other community organizations regarding mental illness and recovery.

We offer the NAMI 12-week Family-to-Family education course in early fall and mid-winter each year.

We engage in legislative and administrative advocacy and anti-stigma education campaigns such as "StigmaBusters."

We are trying to organize a NAMI Campus consumer support group for young adults (call office).

We never give up hope!
